Shamberg, Johnson & Bergman is proud to announce that Richard L. Budden has been named Partner at our firm. Richard has been an integral part of our team for over a decade, and his unwavering commitment to advocating for personal injury victims has made a lasting impact on our firm, our clients, and the community we serve.
Originally from St. Marys, Kansas, Richard earned his law degree from Washburn University School of Law, where he developed the foundation for his career as a trial lawyer. He also served as a clerk for the Hon. J. Thomas Marten in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
Since joining our team, Richard has demonstrated an exceptional ability to handle complex personal injury cases involving a variety of our core practice areas, including serious injuries, product defects, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. Beyond his success in the courtroom, he has also cultivated the respect of colleagues and clients alike for his relentless pursuit of justice and client-first approach. He is a fierce advocate, a skilled trial lawyer, and a compassionate representative for those facing life’s most challenging moments.
Richard’s elevation to Partner is a testament to his legal talent, hard work, and alignment with our firm’s core values. For over 76 years, we have fought for injured victims and families across Kansas City and the Midwest and have recovered more than $850 million in verdicts and settlements. Richard’s dedication to that mission has been clear from the moment he joined our team in 2014, and we know he will continue to uphold our legacy of success while helping shape the firm’s future.
Please join us in congratulating Richard on this well-earned achievement!
